What’s my story?

I started my career as an Embedded Systems Engineer having worked in various MNCs and startups like Mentor Graphics, Siemens, Mercedes, Balena and SlashData.

I was really enjoying my job and was always looking forward to move up to corporate ladder till I started backpacking around the world.

Travelling gave me a sense of being alive and escaping the rat race. Meeting different people around the world and listening to all their stories always wanted me to pursue more of it and that’s where I decided I need to make a switch to my life and find a way to travel more often sustainably.

I wanted to travel but without compromising on quality, I wanted to go to all those exotic places, stay in luxurious hotels and not having a fixed date return ticket which is totally counter-intuitive to having a full time well paid job.

In my initial research I was convinced I can either have a full time job or frugal travel - doing backpacking, hitchhiking and crashing on people couch or cheap hotels but that was not what I wanted. So I experimented with a lot of things from starting my own business in IoT hardware space to selling DiY FPV Drones, this blog and what not but more often than not I was finding myself again in the kinetic hustle culture which I always hated.

I just wanted to create things I love, meet new people and explore new places and have a steady income which can support these endeavours.

Covid happened and like many jobs my job also went remote. I was working from home and all the fear of not being able to do my Hardware intensive job without sitting in my cubicle theory was proven wrong and it was established remote work is a viable option.

Fast forward, I setup my consultancy business, started working remote with clients across the globe and on the side monetize my hobbies - Creative work, FPV Drones and Aerial Video Production and I have everything I ever wanted. This is an evolving story but I want to share what I learned with more people so they can replicate it and travel the world while they are still young and energetic and don’t have to wait for the retirement.

I’ll keep on updating it but I look forward to you joining me in this journey, cheers!
