DiY FPV Racing Drone in India

I spend countless hours to create a video series using my 6+ years of experience building and flying UAVs and facing challenges sourcing good quality parts, negotiating with Indian customs and much more so new drone builder and pilots donโ€™t repeat the same mistakes which I did and save lot of time, efforts and moneyโ€ฆ

You see crazy freestyle or drone racing videos on YouTube, gets an adrenaline rush and instantly decides to make your own drone, You go to internet to buy parts only to be flooded and overwhelmed by all kinds of numbers and figures for every small components and think what the fu*k is difference between 2204 and 1806 motor. Should I buy a H-type quadcopter frame or x-type ? Should I build a tricopter and save money on one less propulsion system or should I make a octacopter and have redundancy of safe flight even if a couple of motors failed. What size and type of propeller should I buy?

Even if somehow with help of others via forums you managed to get answers to all these questions you find yourself not able to source the right parts locally and you try to import them only to be get stucked in customs end up confiscation or paying heavy import duties.

Now even if you got the parts spending almost triple than you anticipated you made a silly soldering or software configuration mistake, maybe a motor screw was too tall for your frame size piercing the motor windings, short circuiting the drone and everything is smoking on first power on, ending up burning thousands of rupee and getting a scar of WTF just happened to me and thinking if youโ€™re godโ€™s least favourite creation :P

Iโ€™ve been there. I know how it feels and after countless hours, spending lakhs of rupees and burning many parts into flame few months back I decided to start this video series and free part recommendation pdf so the new badge of FPV pilots donโ€™t make the same mistake as we did back in the days and get into the air as quickly as possible without needing to bang their heads on concrete before finally giving up and choosing a different hobby altogether.

The series will continue to grow with new episodes, so do subscribe to my channel for regular such updates and more to follow because building a drone is one thing and flying it safely is altogether next level. Will talk about much more in coming days, till then thanks for supporting!! Cheers (Y)
